Celebrations!

April was a great month.  Students and teachers enjoyed the Spring Break and everyone was able to return from their fun activities safely.  As we approach the end of the school year, I want to thank the PTA and our School Community Council for their many efforts.  I would also like to thank the many parents and community members who have volunteered in the school in many different capacities.  Without the support of these people our school year would not be as successful and enjoyable.

School Carnival!

Our May Parent Night will be our end of year carnival.  There will be a lot of games and fun to celebrate our school year.  We look forward to seeing everyone on the 17^th at 4:30 pm. We will also do our drawing for the IPad 2 at 6:00 and the winner must be present.

PTA NEWS

The PTA Presidency for the coming school year will be: President – Melissa Yergensen, President Elect –Rachel Luke, Secretary – Kari Lillico and Treasurer – Merrilee Jarvis

We want to thank all of the parents and community members who volunteer at the school and help provide support through the PTA.  Your support helps students be successful.

End of Level Testing

We would like to remind everyone of our end of level testing which began the 15^th of April and concludes May 17^th.  Attendance is Critical during this time of the year.  We would ask that when possible parents please plan doctor or dentist appointments outside of the school day.  We would also ask that vacations be scheduled for summer to allow students to complete tests on time and show what they have learned this year.

Summer Information

Our school office will be open on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm for the month of June.  We will have the office closed for the month of July to complete cleaning.  The office will then open again in August.  We will be open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm for the first two weeks and then return to regular office hours.

If you plan on moving over the summer or know your child will not be attending Amelia Earhart for the 2013-2014 school year, please call the office and let us know. (801-370-4630)

We would like to ask those of you who have neighbors who may not have children at the school if you would let them know that students can be registered during regular school office hours now and throughout the summer.  For a checklist of items needed to complete the registration please go to our school website at www.amelia.provo.edu or contact the school office (801-370-4630).

¡Celebraciones!

Abril era un gran mes. Los estudiantes y los profesores disfrutaron de la Ruptura de Primavera y cada uno era capaz de volver de sus actividades de diversión sin peligro. Cuando nos acercamos al final del año escolar, quiero agradecer al PTA y nuestro Consejo de Comunidad Escolar para sus muchos esfuerzos. También me gustaría agradecer a muchos padres y miembros de comunidad que se han ofrecido en la escuela en muchas capacidades diferentes. Sin el apoyo de esta gente nuestro año escolar no sería como acertado y agradable.

Información de Verano

Nuestra oficina escolar estará abierta el martes y el jueves a partir de las 9:00 – a las 1:00 para el mes de junio. Haremos cerrar la oficina para el mes de julio para completar la limpieza. La oficina se abrirá entonces otra vez en agosto. Estaremos abiertos de lunes a jueves se forman a las 9:00 0 a las 1:00 durante las dos primeras semanas y luego vuelven a horas de consulta regulares.

Si usted planea moverse a lo largo del verano o sabe que su niño no asistirá a Amelia Earhart durante el 2013-2014 año escolar, por favor llame la oficina y avísenos. (801-370-4630) 

¡Carnaval Escolar!

Nuestra Noche de Padre de Mayo será nuestro final del carnaval de año. Habrá muchos juegos y diversión para celebrar nuestro año escolar. Tenemos ganas de ver a cada uno en el 17 a las 4:30.

Nos gustaría recordar a cada uno de nuestro final de pruebas de nivel que comenzaron el 15 de abril y concluir el 17 de mayo. La asistencia es Crítica durante este tiempo del año. Preguntaríamos que cuando los padres posibles por favor planeado citas de dentista o doctor fuera del día escolar. También preguntaríamos que las vacaciones sean programadas para el verano para permitir que estudiantes completaran pruebas a tiempo y espectáculo lo que ellos han aprendido este año.
