PTA News  from PTA President Rachel Luke

Thank you to all the room mothers and parents who helped with the class Halloween parties. It was a great day at the school and it was so fun seeing all of the students in the Halloween parade. I believe it was our best year yet! We also just concluded a very successful Reflections program. Thank you to Melissa Knudsen and her team of helpers, as well as all the students who participated. Every child who participated was recognized at the recent school assembly. We had an amazing response and many wonderful projects were submitted. We are so proud of our Amelia kids! We are now preparing for the Christmas store which will be December 7-11. For those new to the school, this is an opportunity for students to bring their own money and shop for Christmas presents for their family or friends. This has been a fun tradition as students love to surprise their parents or loved ones. We will have an assortment of items, starting at a dollar or less for many things. If you have anything that you would like to donate to the store that we could sell, we would appreciate it! One parent makes handmade purses and has donated five. They are great and unique! Please let us know if you have access through a business or work where we could purchase items at a discount to re-sell. This store will take place Monday through Friday the second week in December during lunch time. (11:15-12:30). Thank you for all you do to volunteer in classes and at the school. Together we can and do make a difference in the lives of our children.

Together we can fly higher!
