This project was created as a 1st year, E-Mints teacher's, exploration and editing of an existing WebQuest project. 

This WebQuest is for Utah teachers.  Students will research the different environments and physical features of Utah.

Learners

This webquest was designed for 4th graders in the state of Utah.

Standards

Science Standard 3
Students will understand the basic properties of rocks, the processes involved in the formation of soils, and the needs of plants provided by soil.

Objective 1: Identify basic properties of minerals and rocks.

Objective 2: Explain how the processes of weathering and erosion change and move materials that become soil.

Social Studies Standard 4
Students participate in activities that promote cultural understanding and good citizenship.

Objective 2:  Demonstrate basic citizenship skills.

Standard 6
Students use geographical tools to analyze political and physical features of Utah and the Western United States.
